Maverick Angels has investment criteria built on 24 Rules.

Rule No. 9: The Solution / Service is an Asprin not a Vitamin - the product is a must have 10 X better product to satisfy a felt need.
Rule No. 12: Close to an MVP - an iteration of the product exists or a service has been delivered at early scale.
Rule No. 17: Future proofed - no obvious near term techniques or technologies that may render products or services obsolete.
Rule No. 21: Critical skills exist in house - the company is not reliant on outside contracting of mission critical activities.
